Where I'm From...
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but my family moved to New York state when I was just a lil' thing. For those of you who don't know, upstate New York is really nothing like NYC... actually, I've never been there. But never fear! I will go someday soon...

Downtown B-town
This is the village... it's an old place and got its start by being a port on the Erie Canal. Actually, it was the end of the canal for a couple years before they added more. This picture appeared in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle and was taken by Max Schulte. See the soap ad painted on the side of the building? I love that. It's a genuine example of early advertising.
more of the village
Interesting shot. This is another Democrat & Chronicle photo, taken by Jay Capers.
the theater
There has been some sort of theater in this same spot for many, many years, I forget the exact number. It is one of the oldest theaters in the United States however. Maybe it's just New York State... any ol' way they're proud of it. This is yet another D & C photo; this one taken by Annette Lein. Someday, I really do want to go take my own pictures of the village. It inspires me :)
And I'm proud to be an American...
...where at least I know I'm free... This flag actually flew outside of the Denny's.. which is closed now. Still a nice photo, tho. Another D & C, this one by Burr Lewis.
apples
this is an apple farm not too far from my house. hey, NY is the Big Apple. :) (D & C, Shawn Doud)
Niagara Falls
I took this picture of the Falls a couple years ago. I don't live that far from them so I've been there a lot. The Canadian side is better than the American side for those of you who haven't been yet. :)
Festival of Lights
Put on every year at Christmastime in a park near my house. (D & C, Carlos Ortiz)
